Low-fat desserts that have healthy ingredients help support losing weight AND staying happy especially if you’re the sweet tooth kind… where once upon-a-younger time we could getaway with eating gobs of desserts and candy without any cares.

Sweets put a smile on our faces.
And you can still get the same happy feelings with enjoyable, lighter sweet bites.
We want to get into our slimming clothing and summer bodies, but still enjoy our desserts.
…I know because I love summer healthy and low-fat desserts that are light and delightful wherever I am.
And many of the healthy foods are simple to source and substitute in to make healthy desserts below.
That are inspired by happy desserts I grew up eating in America (that well.. store bought were high in fat and sugar and younger-self didn’t feel the impact).
And these are simple and healthy low-fat desserts I make and eat today that I feel good putting in my body.
And you can too in your body.
The easy-to-make desserts can be baked anywhere in a simple apartment oven (or when you’re away from home in your vacation rental kitchen). And some are no-bakes. Even easier.
On that note…
Light and healthy desserts… what could be a better duo? 💭… maybe some sweet tasty flavor pairings like strawberry and lemon, peaches and raspberry, or dark chocolate (or dark cacao) and ginger. Schweeet…that’s what I’m talkin’ about!
The healthy ingredient notes offset the minimal amount of baking ingredients that don’t make the healthy list, but make a delightful dessert and improve the baking texture.
And these easy and tasty fun desserts made my list.
Besides my sweet tooth, they’ve also been inspired by my 10 years of food planning and event orchestration in hotel catering and 3 very different Mediterranean cuisine restaurant brands where I saw (and tasted) many desserts.
And then evolved into eat-from-the-rainbow 🌈 healthy food research and writing for healthy living publications.
That balanced my happy and healthy living aspirations that I share on this blog.
If you have a desire to eat healthier and (…of course) tasty, PLUS live longer, and have a sweet tooth craving (!), you get it!
…It’s still about sweet moderation.
And also leaning into food variety that adds different vitamins, minerals, and macros. Plus fiber (that often is forgotten) and can easily be added to a smoothie…
For refreshing starters, you can make a light Pina Colada (that’s low-calorie with no cream and is tropical smoothie healthy)… that’ll also help you feel relaxed like you’re in the tropics or on a weekend stay-cation! 🌴
…Or on an adventure to make an exotic mango lassi smoothie… and maybe a cool and calming orange dream smoothie (that’s a reminder of the childhood popsicle favorite from the ice cream truck minus all the sugar calories).. and maybe, some fruit shakes on-the-go to take on your roadtrips like I do on my hikes when I almost always end up dreaming 💭 of a strawberry milkshake. 🍓
Bon appetit, enjoy, and cheers! 🍰 🎉🧉
