Coconut Water Mocktail – Mango Fruity

Coconut water mocktail presentation is chic in a martini glass… and this healthy mango drink has a great flavor you can make at home. Adding in coconut water makes an even more tasty and healthy beverage, next to water.

It’s not just any coconut water, but the full-on coconut mentioned (below).

And with that no-alcohol flavor pairing, you can make a hydrating mango coconut water mocktail healthy beverage.

Or a frozen mango coconut water beverage mocktail that can be a divine refreshing drink you make for any age or occasion.

It’s also entertaining and cool to watch the drink melt. And even though this mango mocktail drink has no alcohol, it’s a pink classic in a martini glass 🍸

For mango, a honey mango type is a good kind of mango to use for a drink like this as it has a sweeter taste. But any pureed mango will work! 🥭

…It just needs to be a ripe mango that’s soft and sweeter. You can leave the mango out in room temperature until it does soften to the touch. You’ll know if it’s ready when you can press into the fruit. Alternatively, for more tart and less sweet tropical fruit flavors, you can use passion fruit that you can also use to make a tropical smoothie.

And if not sweet enough, you can also add liquid honey into the drink to make it extra special. Raw honey is a less processed and a good choice staying on a healthy drink theme.

So to make the drink, you add these healthy fruit flavors: mango, lime, blueberry, lemon and coconut water!

And for coconut water, you can find one that has electrolytes that’s great for replenishing moisture.

My favorite go-to is VitaCoco (as the first I saw in stores and the one I think tastes the most balanced). It’s not too sweet, smooth and pure like a coconut. 🥥 …and no, they don’t pay me to say that.

There is actually a VitaCoco peach and mango version, so they already thought about the mango-coconut connection.

But I think their pure coconut water is better for this mocktail drink.

How refreshingly cool, yes? And you’ll see how this all comes together in a few steps…

Btw, it doesn’t matter what order you add these ingredients.

Lemon juice will add a balancing tartness to the sweet mango. It brings brightness. Like the lemon color, it bring us to happy sunshine days. And like most fruits, loaded with Vitamin C.

We love our C notes 🎶 … in the middle they keep us balanced. 😊

And if you can’t get enough of lemon like me in hot months, you’ll love this lemon-strawb parfait or lemon trifle. 🍋

For color, blueberries change the yellowish drink color to pink.  And it’s a pink ribbon anti-cancer protecting ingredient.🎗️

You can use frozen blueberries that are de-thawed in the refrigerator. Then crush or puree the blueberries with the back of a spoon or a mortar and pestle if you have one.

So you have pureed mango and blueberries, and the the other ingredients are natural juices and waters (coconut and regular).

For zhughing, I like to use crystallized ginger, lime zest, and/or shredded coconut that brings some fun and eye-candy 🍬elements to the healthy drink.

As the drink gradually melts, you’ll see the lime flecks melt into the tasty refreshing mocktail that’s a pink grapefruit color.

Ingredients

  • 1 mango
  • 16.9 fl oz. coconut water
  • water
  • ½ lime lime zest
  • crystallized ginger (for zhughing)
  • shredded coconut (for zhughing)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice and blueberry puree

Instructions

  • For extra sweetness, use a honey mango. For coconut water, my favorite is the VitaCoco Pressed version that has a milky consistency but similar taste to the original or regular version. Blend mango and coconut water, blueberry, and lemon juice.until you get a smooth liquid puree consistency. Add water if too thick. Pour through a strainer into your drinking glass leaving at least 1/2 inch to the top. Add lime zest.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Pour the rest of the coconut water ontop and let it flow down and around the mango-ice center piece that will form in the middle as it melts at room temperature.
  • Zhugh with ginger and shredded coconut.
