Blueberry lemonade is a healthy and delicious way to get in your daily Vitamin C plus other anti-inflammatory ingredients.
And a drink like this can eliminate or help you low-sugar intake as you get tart tastes with a lemon 🍋 and balanced sweetness from blueberries. 🫐
Frozen blueberries de-thawed will work best.
…Then add back the blueberry juice from the frozen blueberries de-thawed at room temps or in the fridge. Or alternatively use blueberry brewed tea that is cooled.
The frozen berries will give the more pure taste like in a blueberry muffin, but blueberry tea can give more of a finer tea drink vibe. Both ways are full of anti-inflammatory goodness.
And either way you don’t need additional sugar flavors for the pairing as a low-sugar, healthy cool drink you can drink anytime of day or season.
Fresh lemon juice or lemon juice already pressed and ready-to-pour will work.
But the ready-to-go real lemon juice bottles you can get in most grocery stores are better for taste because most these juices are very tart, so the distinct lemon flavor comes through in the blended drink.
Then you can pucker up. 😊
And if you want a tropical twist, adding lychee for a lychee berryade mocktail beverage will add a red grape taste with subtle plum tones that match the color of the blueberry lemonade drink color.
Like this one decorated with a whole lychee that looks a bit like cauliflower.
I used simple bamboo toothpick skewers that similarly we used in party platters in my event planning days.
They are eco-friendly if you want to wash them out and re-use. But you can use any party picks you like. 🎉
And finally, if you want to get fancy and make a bar worthy mocktail drink, you can pour your blueberry lemonade ingredients into a chic glass.
Add blueberries to the bottom to avoid splash, and then strain in the blended liquids back.
Zhugh with a honey rim of shredded coconut for a special event.

Lychee Blueberryade Mocktail Drink
Ingredients
- 1 lychee (from can)
- blueberry tea, brewed (or frozen blueberries)
- lemon juice
- Optional: shredded coconut and honey (for zhughing) or an additional lychee with blueberries on a skewer.
Instructions
- Add crushed blueberries to the bottom of the glass.
- Blend brewed blueberry tea, lychee juice, and lemon juice. Aternatively, you can use blueberry juice.
- Refrigerate to cold.
- Add blueberries and lychee to drinking glass to decorate, or a honey rim of shredded coconut.
