Orange Scented Candle Calming For Anxiety

When you’re out shopping for candles, is there a candle good for calming your anxiety (in the sea of candles to choose from)?

Yes!  All Candles are not created equal to soothe and calm anxiety.  Orange candles are special.  Some candles have deeper scents like the Yankee Candle.

I found one that I love.  It’s the Village Candle Orange Dreamsicle (creamsicle).  If you flip to the back, you’ll see I bought at HomeGoods for a fraction of the price.

If your nose is drawn to those scents then they can help calm you as they positively affect your mind-body connection.

Orange-Scented Ideas:

1. Grab an actual orange you could eat and set it near your nose (like on your desk).  Navel oranges are stronger than clementine and mandarin oranges have more subtle orange scents. Smell the orange to calm your senses.

2. Use orange-scented lotions.

3. Add roller perfumes and perfume balms like Pacifica have one that is Tuscan blood orange-scented.

4. You can also zest an orange (the peel and that’s) good for helping balance anxiety. You can also make low-sugar orange scones from my recipe.

Alternative Candles Calming For Anxiety Scents:

Add lighting an orange or creamsicle room scent to your calming practice.

It’s good to have a variety of these types of candles when you feel anxious, worried, or panicky.

If you’re like me, you have a candle collection. The other citrusy, and seasonal scented candles won’t have the same effect. And if you have fresh or evergreen scents, those are good for other purposes (like body or mind lethargy).  So, if you were ever wondering why you could be drawn to those candles, that’s the reason.

For the candle calming for anxiety, stick with the orange ones.
