3 Healthy Chest Congestion Remedy Solutions

These days, finding a healthy chest congestion remedy is part of daily life. is If you feel tightness in your chest, this could be from the air you breathe. And if you live near cities or along the path of the wildfires affecting the east coast, you feel the pollution effects often.

These 3  healthy home tips will help your everyday and be chest congestion remedy solutions that make you feel better!

Apple Cider Vinegar Steam

Boil a small amount of water and add apple cider vinegar in a pot. About half and half.

And keep steaming and breathing into your lungs. You should feel a sting in your chest from the ACV that means it’s working! And you can take a pause and then come back.

You can use the store ACV brand or least expensive regular apple cider vinegar for this. You don’t have to use the high-end ACV that’s organic or has “the mother”recommended for other home medicinal purposes.

The use of apple cider vinegar is a great food as medicine ingredient to have in your cupboard. It’s not only for baking and cooking, but also for curing heartburn. Your mom or grandmother, or someone else’s mother knew best.

And then after you’re done with ACV steaming in the kitchen, you can take a warm, hot shower to ward off the ACV sour notes. You may not like the scent that lingers.

Take a Steaming Long Hot Shower.

Clear out the nasal passages that will also help clear out the lung passageway. Take deep inhales and exhales. Use the 4-7-8 breathing technique or the Ayurvedic joy of a Pranayama breath in the shower and plan on taking a longer than 10-minute shower.

Air Purifier

Use a 24×7 turned on, high-quality air purifier cranked up. The air purifier should have a HEPA filter that catches 95% or more of smaller spore particles.  This is especially needed for wildfire smoke and mold that’s growing in our post 2020-daily lives.

Be sure the air purifier covers the right size for the room you will put it in. A bedroom and an office where you spend the most time are great places to have an air purifier. You could have a floor one for your bedroom and a desk one for your office.

Dust and maintain your air purifier by vacuuming the filter often so there’s not a dusty film coat that will impede the filter from working optimally. And be sure you order the right filter as some only collect dust size particles that’s good for dogs and pets but not too helpful for humans needing a chest congestion remedy.

Doing the 3 steps above should help to alleviate chest congestion, tightness, and coughing for people with light allergies or sensitivities. For asthma and other more severe symptoms, it’s recommended to see an allergist.
