Turn your waffle iron medium heat setting.
Gently crack egg in the middle of the open and heated waffle iron. The egg white will spread some, but should not run off the waffle iron.
Leave egg for a minute or so. Then when a little cooked, hold the top cover directly ontop of egg with hand to not add weight or break the egg yolk, but to cook. Check after 2 minutes until yolk is translucent or to your liking. Or leave the waffle maker open the entire time, but this will take longer.
The egg white edges will be nicelyslightly crunchy on the browned side/bottom. Pull entire egg off with a spatula or heat-safe utensil. It should come off easily in one piece without leaving bits.
