Poached Egg - Waffle Iron

This ia waffle iron poached egg that's easy in minutes and no clean up needed.

  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Turn your waffle iron medium heat setting.
  • Gently crack egg in the middle of the open and heated waffle iron. The egg white will spread some, but should not run off the waffle iron.
  • Leave egg for a minute or so. Then when a little cooked, hold the top cover directly ontop of egg with hand to not add weight or break the egg yolk, but to cook. Check after 2 minutes until yolk is translucent or to your liking. Or leave the waffle maker open the entire time, but this will take longer.
  • The egg white edges will be nicelyslightly crunchy on the browned side/bottom. Pull entire egg off with a spatula or heat-safe utensil. It should come off easily in one piece without leaving bits.
