Vegan Frozen Yogurt (Healthy Plant Based Food Colors)

Vegan frozen yogurt can be made healthy with all natural antioxidant plant-based food coloring.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (low-fat)
  • 1 tsp raspberry, strawberry, or cherry powder
  • 1/4 tsp natural blue spirulina powder (healthy)
  • 1 de-skinned peach, chopped finely
  • 2-3 saffron strands (for yellow color)
  • 1/4 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • Prepare 3 small bowls of yogurt.
  • Add your natural food colors in each bowl separately: e.g. cherry and raspberry for red; blue spirulina powder for bluer; and peach saffron and honey for yellow.
  • Mix each bowl by hand until you get the color you desire. If you use an ice cream maker, start with the yellow color, then blue, and then red so you don't change the colors too much.
  • Freeze and enjoy!
