Ujjayi Breathing Exercise For Life and Energy - 5 Minutes

This is a great practice you can take and do anywhere for as little as 1-5 minutes and longer for more benefit.

  • yoga mat

Ingredients

  • Your open mind

Instructions

  • Lay flat on your mat (Shavasana or Corpse Pose).
  • Close your eyes If you like to relax.
  • Make and hold small deep inhales in your nose until there's no more air in your lungs. Start with 20-30 seconds and gradually add more seconds.
  • Exhale/expel all the air you're holding out of your mouth in one strong forceful exhale breath. Feel the new oxygen energy in your body and head.
  • Enjoy the relaxing sensations you can feel in stress and body tension. You may find this is a good breathing exercise you do daily so you can feel recharged and/or creative (again) and ready to get unstuck and tackle challenging projects.
