Cabbage Beet Soup - Anti-Inflammatory

This is a rich balancing and anti-inflammatory soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 1 can whole beets
  • 1 tbsp Five Spice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/8 tsp wasabi powder or cayenne pepper (optional for heat), to taste
  • 1/2 tsp tamarind (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric (optional)

Instructions

  • Add beef broth, soy sauce, beets, and beet juice (from the beet can) to a cooking pot.
  • Cut cabbage into small strips, and add to pot.
  • Add spices and seasonings.
  • Cook on heat until cabbage is soggy and soft.
