Chocolate Almond Hearts

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup substitute)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (use 70% or higher dark cocoa for added antioxidants and nutrients)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Mix dry and wet ingredients together.
  • Refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
  • Roll out cookie dough. Add bench flour as needed.
  • Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes.
  • Let cool and then dip in melted chocolate. Refrigerate.
